Alpine Swift Trails was founded by Hylton & Sunelle Dunn in 2013, both whom are keen athletes and sportspersons.
Hylton is a recovered heroin and crack-cocaine addict. He was admitted to Noupoort Christian Care Centre in 2001 where he completed their drug recovery program and stayed on to work there till 2011, giving back what he received. In 2004, he led a group of recovering addicts from the rehab to complete their first comrades marathon which they did so successfully. The bug then bit, hard!! Hylton who is still racing, has a Comrades PB of 6hr54min and a marathon PB of 2hr46min. His love is for trail running where he has won well known endurance events throughout South Africa as well as Racing the Planet’s Kimberley’s 100km in Australia in 2011.
